This multi-phase public works job started for Husk Preservation, INC. with disassembling the timber frame husk and dendrochronology dating the timbers. In later phases, we will repair the husk frame and then reinstate it and the gearing and stones.
Another project blog link shows photos of two phases of work by Husk Preservation, INC taking down the posts of the mill. The posts were then shipped to Jan Lewandowski for repair. Later phases will include reinstalling the posts and doing insitu repairs to the ties under direction of Jan.
Husk Preservation, INC. is also acting as the mill consultant on this project for the architects John G. Waite Associates, Architects PLLC.
