Powder House, Kingston, MA c.1800

Updated: Sep 2, 2021

The Powder House was moved from another location in Kingston, MA to its current location also in Kingston. The structure needed to be separated from a 20th Century addition to bring it back to it's original, hip roof configuration. The 20th Century addition was repurposed. The historic Powder House was situated on granite piers. We installed and leveled granite posts in the ground as a new foundation. We then establish a rail system to roll structure on, moving the 20th c. section away and the historic Powder House onto the granite piers. From there we lowered the structure onto the piers. Work was completed under MLB Restorations.
